Adel

Adel, Georgia rises from a very interesting story. Its original name was Puddleville-- but its first postmaster, Joel Parrish, hoped to change it. He ended up viewing a sack with the name "Philadelphia" printed on the back, so he removed the first four letters and the last four letters, leaving himself with "Adel." Thus, the city was born. Adel, Georgia has a population of roughly 6,000 people, and is one of the most charming cities in the entire state.
